BROADCASTING SEEDS INTO THE WORLD

Broadcasting means something different now than it did in the past. The term originated from how a farmer cast his seeds in a broad manner so that they would take root in the earth he had already tilled. We have been tilling the ground around us for years. Now it is time for us to lavishly throw seeds as far and as wide as we can! The second half of the LOVEGIVES vision for this year is to begin broadcasting this love of God to all of our friends, family, and neighbors through the digital platforms we have been given.

SPREADING SEEDS

Reaching our Friends
The front door of the church is now digital. Almost every new person who walks into a church will watch content online before they ever step through the physical front door of the church. We need to create a livestream that is intentional and personal for those watching online.

We are currently very limited in the video and sound quality that we broadcast on our livestream. Some of you have even expressed embarrassment with the livestream experience. It is okay if it is just for us, but because this is going out to our friends, families, and neighbors we want it to be more reflective of what it is like in-person on a Sunday morning.

To make this happen, we need to invest in the right kind of video and sound equipment to provide those online with the same quality we strive to provide in-person on a Sunday morning.
Reaching the Unreached
Here at Red Door, we have the beginnings of an incredible team reaching into the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. We need to continue to give this team the kind of technology to help them reach even more people. By upgrading our video equipment, we will be able to provide ASL interpretation to this vastly under-reached people group.

By most estimates, less than 2% of the deaf community has access to the Gospel. By providing the right equipment, we will be able to provide a "picture-in-picture" experience for the deaf community watching online. Not only will they see the interpreter, they will be able to see exactly what everyone else sees as well. From seeing the worship leader to the teacher to those sharing their stories, this will be a massive upgrade for our deaf friends who are trying to reach their friends.

This will be an incredible online church experience for the deaf community, no matter where they live. What a chance to reach an unreached people group both here and abroad.
Reaching the World
The tide of the Protestant Reformation turned on a technological advancement. Martin Luther used the new invention of the printing press to distribute his writings in German far and wide. The tide of the civil rights movement, led by Martin Luther King Jr., turned on a technological advancement as well. The crossing of the Edmund Pettis Bridge in Selma, Alabama, on March 7, 1965, known as "Bloody Sunday," was captured and broadcast live on national television, shocking the nation and galvanizing support for the civil rights movement. So whether it was the message that we are saved by grace and not works, or the message that all men and women are created in the image of their Maker, God has continued to use every modern innovation to share the Good News of His Kingdom.

We have a deep conviction that we should be using our technological advancements in video to share the Gospel as much as we can. By capturing the content created each Sunday and sharing it out in smaller 30-second >> 3-minute long clips that point to the larger message, we believe we will start to reach this world with the beautiful Story of Jesus.

These clips are the very "seeds" that become shareable online to your friends, family, and neighbors and allow you to start conversations about Jesus that would otherwise never happen.

THE LIVESTREAM TEAM

It will not be enough to only purchase the equipment for this improved livestream experience. We will also need to build a larger team of men, women, and students who desire to see this Good News of the Gospel broadcast into our world. Not experienced? No worries! We will train you on how to use the cameras and computers that make the magic happen.
