JESUS STORYBOOK Bible

This week our kiddos learned how easily we get entangled in sin and how one sin can turn into many sins. They also learned that Jesus' baptism was a sign that God's rescue plan to take away the sin of the world was starting!

Lead your kiddos at home:

• READ ALOUD 
  • Jesus Storybook Bible Ch. 25: Heaven Breaks Through (pg. 200)
• TALK ABOUT 
  • Ask your kiddo if there is a time they remember a sin or bad choice they made, [Answers vary]
  • Ask them how that made them feel and what they can do with that sin. [Remind them that they can pray to God and ask Him to forgive them and help them to not do it again.]
  • We all sin but there is one person who never sinned, who was it? [Jesus]
  • Spend time praying with your kiddo thanking God for sending Jesus to defeat sin and that we now do not have to be entangled and trapped by that sin anymore.

This week our kiddos learned about how Jesus chose his 12 disciples. They walked with him, learned from him, and could tell others about him.

Lead your kiddos at home:

• READ ALOUD 
  • Jesus Storybook Bible Ch. 26: Let's Go (pg. 208)
• TALK ABOUT 
  • After Jesus was baptized where did he go? [To the desert, to spend time by himself with God.]
  • What animal did Jesus see in the desert? [God's old enemy that spoke to Adam and Eve as a snake. The enemy lied to Jesus, telling him that God doesn’t love Jesus.]
  • How many men did Jesus ask to be his disciples? [12]

This week our kiddos learned about two people who have faith in Jesus and they ask him to heal their sickness. They learned that Jesus has power over sickness and death.

• READ ALOUD 
  • Jesus Storybook Bible Ch. 26: A Little Girl And A Poor Frail Woman (pg. 214)
• TALK ABOUT 
  • What kind of game did you play in your small group today? [A game about trust...trying to cross the room blindfolded using the help of my friends]
  • Was it hard to trust you would make it to the other side safely? [Answers vary]
  • Who were the 2 people that had faith that Jesus could heal them? [The old woman & Jairus, the man who had a sick daughter] 
  • Who can we have complete faith in? [Jesus]
